6LACK & Syreeta Butler discuss the destigmatization of mental health in Black+ communities and how they’re working together to integrate mental health care into the culture of the music industry.

Syreeta Butler, LMFT is a marriage and family therapist based in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. She received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Af-Am Studies from California State University-Northridge. She completed her graduate work at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she received a degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Holistic Psychology/Medicine. Syreeta, in collaboration with LVRN & Just B Consulting Group, helped launch the first mental health and wellness department of any record label. It is their goal to support executives, artists and staff with addressing the challenges of working in such a highly stressful and competitive environment and create skills that will support them in any domain of their life.
