As of July 23, 2020, Costa Rica now has about 13,000 total COVID-19 cases confirmed. The ministries of health and tourism have been giving daily press conferences related to the easing of restrictions, and everyone has been anxious to hear when borders will be open. Today we found out that they will begin to allow international flights from Canada, the EU and UK as of August 1. In “Yellow” areas of Costa Rica, beaches will also now be open until 2:30pm daily, as opposed to the current 9:30am closing time.
