The ABA Journal Club Session #3: ABA and COVID-19

Brought to you by the ABA Journal Club and Emirates College for Advanced Education’s Research Office on March 23rd, 2021. Moderated by Sharifa Yateem, BCBA, Co-founder, The ABA Journal Club.

Article discussed:
Sivaraman, M., Virues-Ortega, J., & Roeyers, H. (2021). Telehealth mask wearing training for children with autism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, 54(1), 70-86.

COVID-19 is spread through close person-to-person contact, and using face masks is an important strategy to slow its transmission. In this session, we will discuss an article that aimed to teach children with autism spectrum disorder how to wear a face mask by coaching caregivers via telehealth technologies.
