In this Episode we ride our BMW F800GS two up across Costa Rica, treat ourselves to a luxury hot spring resort stay overlooking Arenal volcano and hike in Manual Antonio National Park spotting sloths, monkeys and an abundance of wildlife.
Our journey starts in a touristy town on the Pacific Coast. Due to the recovering sprained ankle we didn’t quite make it to our intended destination on the southern tip of the peninsula and we found ourselves in the town of Coco instead. After a couple of days relaxing on the beach we make our way to Arenal where we treat ourselves to a luxury stay at ‘The Springs and Spa Resort’. Next we ride to Manual Antonio National Park. On our way there we discover that our brake pads are completely worn down and struggle on the steep windy roads. As soon as we arrive in the town of Quepos we fix our breaks and try to mend our damaged disc breaks. Then we hike in Manual Antonio National Park and enjoy the wildlife and animal encounters. To avoid the crowds we take a parasailing trip on Monday when the National Park is closed and enjoy stunning views of the coastline from above. After our two weeks stay in Costa Rica we cross over to Panama, in a rush to make our sailing boat to Colombia in time.
